JOB FUNCTIONS & PURPOSE:
To perform analysis, design and programming activities in the development of tools and simulators software for train control systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design, develop and test objective oriented tools and simulator software applications in complex multitasking systems running in Windows environment based on company standard process and methodology
2. Documents designs, procedures and programs including elements of change control and configuration management
3. Design, implement and test GUI software using MFCs in windows platform
4. Trouble shoots and prepares problem reports.
5. Using script language i.e Perl and Ruby to compile testing cases, generation configuration files
6. Adhere to TST’s standard work instructions

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT:
1. Knowledge of software engineering practice including development life-cycle, change control and configuration management ect.
2. C++ programming language skills/experiences and familiar MFC
3. Familiar with OOD(Objective Oriented Design) and OOP(Objective Oriented Programming) skills and have experiences using UML tools to perform the system design
4. Knowledge on railway signaling knowledge and CENELEC is a plus
5. Rich experiences in debugging, trouble shooting and problem solving. The software system is complex and composed of numerous subsystems, often supplied by different vendors. Figuring out a problem in very limited time window is needed in same emergency case.
6. Experience in a popular scripting language, i.e. Perl, Python or Ruby.
7. (2+ years)Experience of software development in C++ on Windows environment
8. Good technical English language writing skills;
9. B.Sc. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
