JOB FUNCTIONS & PURPOSE:
To lead hardware failure investigation activities for CBTC system related components including RCAs and non-RCAs
To perform circuit card or electrical/electronics components failure analysis
To perform in-house and field testing and test support
To design hardware products according to the R&D requiring
To cooperate with other teams ensure all deliverables are produced on time and within the plan

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. As engineering interface, lead overall field failure investigation activities for CBTC system related components including RCAs and non-RCAs
2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, as well as suppliers to drive the root cause identification, corrective action definition and retrofit
3. Lead hardware quality improvement with good effect and high efficiency
4. Perform circuit card or electrical/electronics components failure analysis including failure recurrence, analysis, corrective action implementation&verification, and deployment to decrease the failure rate
5. Develop testing/experiment platforms, perform testing and deliver failure analysis report
6. Update, re-design or optimize the existing products, and solve the EOL issues
7. Participate in new product development including circuit card design, Sub Rack electrical design and etc. as needed
8. Documents designs, procedures and programs including elements of change control and configuration management
9. Contribute to concept architecture building, technical risks identification and mitigation by calculation, modeling analysis, simulation or prototype verification
10. Communicate with other function engineers to co-develop system as project needs
11. Improve process and standard work for the CBTC hardware design and quality improvement

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT:
1. Familiar with digital and analog circuit design, familiar with Pspice simulation.
2. Familiar with general PCB development process, familiar with Cadence, Mentor or other PCB development CAD tool.
3. Familiar with electrical system measuring technology and methodology; know quality system and testing tools.
4. Familiar with PCB manufacturing processing technology and application.
5. Project leadership experience in those with various size, duration and scope across multi-functions in a global, matrix environment(3 yrs+).
6. Experience in digital and analog circuit design(3 yrs+).
7. Experience in large distributed system development.
8. Familiar with interface RS232/RS422/RS485/CAN bus/MVB transceivers, and other industrial field bus communication, as well as sensor signals processing,
9. EMC/EMI and environment design, analysis and testing experience.
10. Good communication and analytical skills.
11. Good technical English language reading/writing/communication skills.
12. Bachelor/Master degree in Electronic engineering, electrical engineering or related education background; 5 years+ working experiences in electronic product development.
