JOB PURPOSE:
1. Prepares test plans, procedures and reports with the guidance and supervision of more senior staff.
2. Performs tests in-plant and at project sites in accordance with established test plans and procedures.
3. Prepares problem reports describing test failures and defects

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Develops and maintains test plans, procedures and test cases
2. Performs tests in plant and at project sites
3. Prepares test reports which record the pass, fail status of planned tests and identify problems reports generated during the tests
4. Acquires product knowledge through active participation in formal, and on the job training, as well as self study
5. Prepares problem reports in the defect tracking system describing test failures and defects
6. Provides recommendations for the resolution of test problems

BASIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS:
1. BA of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
2. Have at least 2 years working experience in software development using C language
3. Have at least 1 years working experience in software testing or related area
4. Familiar with basic PC OS system and software tools (e.g. Windows, Linux, Word Processing, Spread sheets, Databases)
5. Computer literacy using special application software such as problem tracking, requirement management and parsing software is a significant asset
6. Have experience in test requirement analysis and test design
7. Familiar with software testing process, basic testing method and criteria
8. Fluent in written and verbal English language
