Due to exciting growth, an opportunity is available for an experienced and dynamic hard goods Product Engineer to join our team! Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, based in Shanghai, you will be responsible for conducting factory technical/quality audits, assessment & approval of product developments and quality management for ongoing production.

As our successful candidate you will demonstrate：

• 5+ years’ experience in a related merchandising, sourcing office role essential

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in quality, mechanical or industrial engineering

• Demonstrated understanding of risk identification, mitigation, solution finding and technical competence

• Category experience in areas such as hand tools, power tools, fasteners, valves desired

• Technical Specification development including test protocols and verification

• Demonstrated research skills and ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards and regulations

• Demonstrated understanding of ISO 9001 and implementation of quality management system, Microsoft office tools, reporting & analysis

• Familiarity with testing and measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, volt meters, metrology, electrical design & testing, electronic inspection tools, visual inspection technologies etc.

• Excellent written and oral communication in English

• Added benefit if experienced with Ethical Sourcing and Sedex Framework.

            

You will also be responsible for but not limited to:

• Deliver quality and compliance objectives within Own-Brand and Sourcing projects to ensure goods and services comply with the legal requirements of the country of sale, and meet all safety, quality, ethical and environmental requirements as specified by the business and the customers

• Act as key point of contact for Quality Matters and lead quality matters incident management process, regular reporting, trend analysis and continuous improvement.

• Support the Own brand Sourcing and Category agenda with identifying process and supply chain risk and conducting risk assessments to ensure safety in design and risk controls are implemented at factory level to mitigate risk.
