Position Description                                                                                                         

Purpose of the Position: 

? Provide electrical/controls engineering solutions to support plant daily operations.

? Drive, implement plant continuous improvement goals in cost, capacity, delivery and quality.

? Provide electrical/controls troubleshooting guidance on equipment issues. 

?Stay informed on new technology transfer at equipment engineering that can be built in to improve plant performance and productivity.

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

?Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance system for the production/service equipment (database and tracking system of all equipment which requires regular maintenance).

? Develop weekly/monthly/yearly maintenance schedule to minimize equipment downtime.

? Conduct equipment daily troubleshooting and problem solving to support the production in electrical/controls areas.

?Emphasize safety in daily operation by strict adherence to applicable codes and standards. Comply with all government regulations with regards to facilities, utilities, etc.

? Analyze the equipment performance routinely and make improvement recommendations.

? Complete follow up actions required from production/safety/environment audits.

?Provide job related training for electrical technician & electricians. Take responsibility for building and improving the technical strength of the maintenance team in electrical/control areas.

?Coordinate with other maintenance engineers on people resource, collect necessary equipment information prior to developing preventive maintenance plan.

? Assist Equipment Engineering Manager on contractor management and cost control.

?Attend training related to the assigned area. Become thoroughly knowledgeable in the production and process equipment for whole plant.

? Responsible for spare parts management system and localization initiative.  

? Improve CMMS (Computer Management Maintenance System) as needed.

? Project management, documentation and training.

? Join in TPM activities, provide the training and the professional recommendation on improvement.

Project involved with:

?Define the specification for production and service equipment purchasing and service terms associated. Involve in vendor selection and quotation.

? Deploy new technology equipment transfer and upgrade.

? Supervise the installation and debugging of new/upgraded equipment.

?Review and update all drawings, machine specifications, and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure) associated with equipment installation and upgrade.

? Develop completed equipment list. Responsible for new equipment entry and change management.

Requirements: Education & Experience: 

? Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent.

?6+ years’ experience on the position of equipment engineering in manufacturing environment, plus 3+ years in multi-national company.

? Strong record of results for a multi-national company.

? Experiences in working with and/or supervising project teams.

Requirements: Required Skills                                                

? Equipment engineering, manufacturing systems and technical expertise.

? Good problem solving/troubleshooting skill and rational thinking.

? Rich hands-on experiences with production floor equipment.

? Knowledge of power distributions & equipment controls.

? Strong PLC & HMI programming skill, Rockwell and Intellution are preferred.

? Strong equipment drawing with AutoCAD or comparable draft software skill.

? Fluent in written and oral English.
