The Packaging Print Specialist assists Packaging Producers, R&D team and Region Print packaging specialists in press check. Manage packaging, labeling for all products to ensure that high-quality printing and finishing is developed, produced, and shipped on time. Actively participate in suppliers pre-press, proofing and printing audits, qualification and action plan for improvements. Establish press check color standard for all products and communicate expectations to cross functional teams.

Assist in Category color development

1. Work with category specialist to color print tests, color matching development, multiple sites

approval on category producer request, validate manufacturing capability and obtain needed

samples for team approval.

2.Work closely with category specialist on Ink and Foil development to develop stable formulas

that can be used across our Supply Chain for maximum quality and efficiency.

 

Manages print deliverables and ensure print quality meets client’s expectations

1. Support category specialist in corresponding category accessories. Attend press approval on

category accessories.

2.Manage press approval print quality meets client’s standards. Provide professional color

judgement to match design goals across multiple supplier sites.

3.Troubleshoot on-site print issues. Signs off on color standard and establish acceptable printing

target.

4.Work with category producer/specialist to manage approved color chips and color data with

each vendors to validate and replenish before expiration date.

 

Assist and monitor supplier capabilities in developed maintenance programs

1. Participates in developed maintenance programs as it relates to pre-press, ink mixing, printing

and finishing capabilities and ensure suppliers corrective actions are in place.

2.Assist in developed standard procedures for effective implementation.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

1. 5–7 years relevant experience in consumer electronic or consumer goods packaging and

labeling, including project management experience.

2. Knowledge of pre-press, in-depth printing processes, and solving on-press issues. Requires

knowledge of inks, adhesives, and print decoration and finishing techniques.

3. Ability to appreciate small color variations and give directions to printers on the spot.

4.Strong attention to details, ability to manage multiple projects at once and keep track of

milestones and deliverables. Good tasks management.

5.Ability to prioritize and work on multiple highly detailed projects at the same time.

6.Creative problem-solving skills. Adaptable, flexible and resourceful to manage changes in

product definition, time constraints, etc.

7. Travel domestic China and potential international travel (up to 50% of time).

8.Strong knowledge of color management and color theory required. Must pass Munsell test with

score of less than 5.

9. Good sense and understanding of high-end print quality requirement and attention to details.

Hands-on press check color approval experience.

10.Understand English in written and reading. Moderate English speaking skill to communicate to

the team.
