Primary purpose of role:

• Responsible for the design of all marketing communication images including campaigns (offline and online), local store marketing, packaging, wall-art, etc.
• Work with wider marketing team in visual merchandising display and campaign photography
• Support internal communication when needed including but not limited to HR recruitment images, etc

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop integrated campaign Key Visuals and campaign assets

-      Work closely with Retail and Digital teams, start with concept for KVs

-      During photography for campaign, support and work with photographer to deliver optimal results

-      Design and layout KVs based on campaign photography

-      Brief agencies for retail / digital / CRM adaptations as needed

-      Able to generate FAs / ready for print / production

-      Work with Retail team in colour correction and material selection for retail tools

• Design and develop visual images for LSM activities
• Develop annual VI themes

-      To create more consistency in our campaigns, develop annual VI systems that allow for an integrated visual tone and manner for all of our messaging for internal & external communications

Support the designs for new merchandise range, including product and packaging solutions

Work with our Product team to develop attractive visual merchandising displays

-      Design ready-to-go tweaks and optimizations to our current visual merchandising for both food and product

-      Develop new visual merchandising systems for our food and product for future release

Key Performance Measures/Success Factors:

• Consistency of brand image throughout annual campaigns via VI system development and individual campaign work
• Deliver
• Upgraded visual merchandising displays
• Support to internal communications

Required knowledge, skills or experience

• Bachelor degree or above
• 4-6 years’ working experience in a design role, ideally within a creative agency
• Experience creating VI systems
• Understanding of photography
• Understanding of print and production
• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Sensitivity to font and typography for both English and Chinese
• Experience in merchandise design would be a plus

The Costa Coffee story began back in 1971, when two Italian brothers – Sergio and Bruno – arrived in London with a burning desire to make great tasting coffee a part of everyday life. In 1981 they opened the first coffee shop in the heart of London, from here the Costa family continued to expand across London, the UK and eventually the globe.
