职位描述
Main Purposes of the Job - Handtools/Hardware
● Maintaining activities within the assigned category and scope of the quality management system to ensure that Company and Group QA objectives and targets are met.
● Implementing Group quality processes in day to day job.
● To provide technical support to ensure Products within the assigned product categories comply with the Groups Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements and UK/European legislation.
● To visit and assess factories to ensure Suppliers & Factories in Asia are technically competent appropriate to the complexity of product.
● To review 3rd party audit/inspection/testing reports and take proper follow-up actions for the best interest of the business.
● Minimise the business risk associated with both product and suppliers in product sourcing and supply chain.
Key Performance Areas
1. To ensure information related to Direct Sourced Products is accurately held and maintained within QAMS (Quality Assurance Management System).
2. To provide technical support in terms of product development, product quality, product testing / benchmarking. Closely work with sourcing and supply chain team on project management to achieve business delivery with assurance on product quality and other relative quality requirements.
3. To work closely with TP QA UK colleagues to contribute towards creation of product specifications.
4. To sign off Silver and Gold samples to a pre defined specification in factories where appropriate.
5. Continuously improve TP branded product ranges by implementing changes to product quality or production processes as agreed and approved by the Category QA Manager.
6. Assess supplier’s ability to manufacture product to our pre-defined specification. Cooperate with factories to amend internal production systems based on product reviews, customer returns data and UK feedback.
7. To review appropriate standards (BS, EN etc) and to verify factories’ 3rd party certificates.
8. Contribute towards factory audit and factory approvals from a technical point of view.
9. Recommend qualified supplier/factory to the business and assist suppliers to meet our factory audit requirements in terms of CSR and quality management.
10. Review all technical reports, i.e. factory audit, PSI, product testing reports, and follow up on the CAP (corrective action plan) from the suppliers to ensure on time rectification of quality issues and prevent influence to produce supply.
11. To ensure all non-compliance issues are effectively dealt with and appropriate remedial action taken through direct contact with appropriate Supplier contact. Ensure that the necessary improvements are identified and followed through with the timely and accurate distribution of associated reports.
12. Investigate customer complaint and feedback from UK through various channels to take appropriate remedial actions.
13. Ensure all related stakeholders are informed immediately where it is identified that a Supplier has failed to adhere to agreed requirements/corrective actions resulting in an unacceptable level of risk to group brands or exposure to the overall business.
14. Demonstrate a commercial awareness by maximising profitability through the selection of appropriate quality products and suppliers, whilst at the same time meeting the quality policies of the Group and managing the expectations of the group businesses.
15. Independently manage complex project in terms of project size, high quality requirement, and take initiative to deliver the results in a timely manner and with good quality.
Quantitative Information
● Known Direct Supplier base of c250 with an annual Purchase Spend c$150M.
● Known Own Brand manufacturing base of c493 sites in Asia (referred to as indirect factories)
● Supplier/Factory assessments c250 annually.
● Own Brand SKU count of c30K across the TP Group, of which 10K are Direct Imports.
Creativity and Problem Solving
● To integrate within the structure and have excellent communication skills. In particular, a good working relationship with the Sourcing and Supplier Chain team in Asia, and QA team in UK.
● To identify and propose evolutionary enhancements to Group QA operating and management systems and implementation of such improvements to ensure the smooth transition of agreed changes.
● To have the initiative to identify issues and obstacles, collect information, find opportunities then develop and implement effective solutions.
Freedoms and Constraints
Freedoms:
● Freedom to work with minimal supervision and to take decisions having an effect on both product and suppliers whilst seeking advice at the appropriate level.
● Authority to perform assessments and award appropriate grades, including Grades preventing the supply of products to the Group.
● Authority to recommend immediate cessation of a supplier or product delivery.
● Stipulate manufacturing requirements, conditions of work and Supplier practices to ensure compliance with group policies and legal obligations.

● Financial restrictions and commercial priorities.
Person Specification / Requirements
● Professional/Technical Qualification or degree, in an appropriate field from a reputable University.
● Fluent Mandarin and English communication
● Able to demonstrate in-depth detailed knowledge of (or capability of) British & European product safety & technical standards and associated compliance certification.
● Able to demonstrate an in depth working knowledge of QA practices and methodology.
● Able to demonstrate practical experience of Supplier, Factory, CSR (Ethical) and ISO9000 audits and respective International standards/Audit criteria.
● Practical experience of Process Audit and Process Engineering.
● Working experience within a technical role appropriate to the advertised role.
● Resilience in following through business critical issues.
● Persuasive approach to problem solving at all levels.
● Good communication skills, both written and verbal in Chinese and English.
● Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals
● Well organised with the ability to plan workload to achieve deadlines.
● Good numeracy skills and conversant in Word and Excel.
