Manage the Programme activities for all Powertrain Engineering commodities, leading the deliverables and priority requirements and interface between the programme and Powertrain delivery team. Key role to ensure programme focus within Powertrain delivery and represent the functional requirements within the programme. Creating the link between the programme and the Powertrain commodity groups.
Understand the needs of the Programme and how they relate to Powertrain Engineering delivery. Represent Powertrain Engineering in all programme activities, identify programme requirements and priorities to the delivery team. Ensure that the delivery team meet the programme requirements. Manage the programme status and report out for the function.
The role will have no direct reports but will report out directly to the Powertrain Senior Engineering Manager and Programme Director and will have a matrix relationship with the Powertrain Delivery Managers. This role with have upwards of 5 indirect reports of the Delivery engineers.
1.Degree in Engineering / Engineering related field (BEng / BSC) – BEng Mechanical Engineering Desirable
2.At least 7 year relevant Powertrain Engineering and Programme experience with a high level of understanding of Powertrain Systems.
3.Good broad component working knowledge across the Powertain Engineering commodity groups (Engine, transmission, driveline, AIS, Exhaust, Cooling and Integration).
4.Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
5.Experience of joint venture component localisation with multi national OEM .
6. Willing to travel within China and Internationally
7. Willing to take the lead and challenge others to deliver
8. Good general computer skills inc. MS office suite
