职位描述
The STA Site Senior Engineer acts as the primary JV representative at a supplier’s manufacturing site and is responsible for an allocated set of supplier manufacturing locations. The engineers activities are focused on product and process performance at external suppliers, supporting both new programmes and running production. The engineer should expect to spend 4 days per week visiting supplier sites.
1. Site Supplier Management
？ Be the key contact for the Supplier’s Management team to engage the JV on manufacturing operations, quality and
capacity issues
？ Accountable for the supplier meeting targets, timelines and improvements requirements so the JV can meet its quality
and production plans.
？ Manage the performance of the supplier which may involve directing or influencing the supplier’s management team to
change operations so that the JV’s plans and standards are met.
？ Be the key contact for the supplier in time of crisis, and the role is expected to work closely to manage the crisis with the
supplier.
2. Manufacturing Site Assessment
？ Review supplier site self assessments and/or conduct Manufacturing Site Assessments
？ Drive resolution of open issues from action plan
？ Visit sites as required
3. Supplier site Improvement to applicable Quality Certification Standard
？ Drive continuous improvement and resolution of systemic site concerns
？ Develop work plan to reduce PPM
？ Drive attainment of applicable quality standard, or work with purchasing to re-source
4. Improve Quality Systems/Drive continuous Improvement
？ Drive resolution of systemic site concerns
？ Drive Problem Solving
5. Sourcing for Quality
？ Review/concur supplier selection with Purchasing
6. FMEA & Control Plan Sign-off
？ Review DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plans
？ Co-develop and approve SC/CC’s using CRT process /Supplement K
7. APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
？ Drive APQP process with suppliers
？ Support supplier at Emphasis build events as needed
8. Phased PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
？ Review & approve PSW packages according to PPAP level
？ Conduct capacity verification process
？ Drive capability (Ppk&Cpk)
9. LRR, Launch Readiness Review process (High impact suppliers)
？ Drive supplier completion of flawless launch initiatives
？ Provide LRR Report
10. 8-D/Concern Resolution
？ Drive 8D resolution on identified quality issues

3. Experience
3-year plus Automotive background with multinational OEM
APQP,PPAP, DFMEA Process. Essential
4. Behavioural Criteria
Must be able to influence external supplier’s management to meet the JV’s business plans.
Applicants must be self motivated and able to work unsupervised
Commitment to the organisation
Willing to embrace changes in a growing organisation
Must be able to respond in times of urgent business needs which may mean working outside of normal office hours.
