Business Need / Purpose of Role:

● Formulate, direct and coordinate product marketing activities, market survey, product introduction, positioning , launching，training and promotion assessment.

●Act as the product champion to provide all technical support to internal and external clients to ensure the achievement of company goals.

Responsibilities

● Undertake extensive market research into customers, competitors, trends and economic indicators on a regional basis.

● Monitor trends, generate ideas, and evaluate competitive landscape.  Discern implications of industry news for Weir businesses and oversee strategies and programs to maximize benefits of changing industry issues.

● Support to develop a marketing strategy for products within designated market. Identifying needs and opportunities and design/recommend product/service solutions to meet the markets’ needs.

● Responsible for supporting pricing strategy for assigned product market regionally as required.

● Prepare a qualified marketing plan setting out current and desired market share, volumes and profitability and the actions recommended to achieve the targets per product group.

● Implement marketing plans with the external sales group, and liaise closely with in-house sales to promote products and services in line with the plan.

● Manage a designated product range that maximizes its return to Weir.

● Develop promotional programs and support material.

● Attend monthly global conference call for assigned products, gain best practice and support from other regionals, and share information with local sales.

● Initiate product improvements and developments with Wuxi plant as a result of collecting and analyzing market information and liaising with customers.

● Agree with Supply Chain the inventory policy and profile for assigned products.

● Develop a quarterly forecast for the assigned products in conjunction with input from sales.

● Ensure technical support and advice is given to local personnel when required, including, but not limited to, field service, sales, customer service, distributors and the like.

● Liaise with mining and engineering houses with a view to increasing customer base and to specifically follow up with procuring and gaining tenders, to ensure that these are submitted on time.

● Provide new product and new application training to Application, Service and Sales teams;  provide related training materials and complete the annual product training ;

● Submit annual marketing promotion strategy and action plans of the products; make product catalogs; monitor design of interrelated exhibitions and advertisements of the products.

                          

Qualifications

● Master degree in Mining/Mining Processing, fresh and past graduates can also be considered.

● Related working experience in product application in Mineral & Mining industry is preferred.

● Familiar with Cyclone/Valve product is preferred.

● Fluent spoken and written English & Chinese

● Developed analytical skills.

● Developed influencing skills, with demonstrated achievements in influencing at all levels of the organization.

● Developed communication and interpersonal skills, and recognized motivator.

● Candidate will be innovative, imaginative, with good self-motivation.
