• Designing software highly structured, efficiently and in compliance with requirements and for a cost effective and reliable product.
• Design, model, and initiate tests on prototype software.
• Produce specifications and describing documentation
• To develop systems, processes and procedures for efficient software design work
• Supporting the design verification and validation of the new product
• Technical benchmarking of competitor’s products and solutions
• Prepare and communicate technical system proposals with customers and to follow up on the same.
• Supporting in 8D problem solving if any warranty claims arises
• Lead new product development sub project(s)
• Report and escalate proactively to Project manager and/or Software design lead
• Act as the voice of company towards the suppliers and customer
• Meet customer expectations and works for successful business implementation

• Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering
• Product and process knowledge from commercial vehicles and/or automotive software
• Taking active part in software development of both generic software platform and associated customer applications
• Hands-on experience from model-based design and auto code generation
• Familiar with requirement management, software configuration and version control

Required background

• General knowledge about embedded systems and low-level hardware interface
• Basic ‘C’ programming skills and experience in deployment of MISRA guidelines
• Awareness of requirements in ISO 26262 and implementation of the same
• Familiar with typical software design and maintenance tools
• Sound understanding for mechatronics and mechanical physics
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written English capabilities

Required skills

• Expertise in the field of active control
• Experienced Matlab/SL user
• Strong real-time programming skills
• Strong ‘C’ and assembler code programming skills
• Experience from implementing diagnostic functions and network communication layers
• Experience from BLDC control
• Sound understanding for vehicle- and tire dynamics
• Experience from one or several of the following methods/standards; FMEA, TS16949, APQP and Automotive SPICE
