Responsibilities:

1. Develop and scope the sourcing plan: Working with the client’s Commercial teams, scope out the projects that will deliver the 3 year plan.  Produce Annual Sourcing Plans and support the annual budgeting process.

2. Engage with and manage relationship with key stakeholders: Build and maintain a strong network across Maxeda, ensuring that you are recognized as the expert, and first point of contact for your category. Use this network to drive Buyer engagement, to secure new sourcing projects, and to resolve any issues that may arise.

3. Develop Best In Class Vendor Base: Identify and engage with the strongest possible vendor base in the market, ensuring spend is targeted to the best producers. Actively communicate with our vendors to ensure they are engaged, proactive to support our development and meet or exceed our Vendor requirements. Develop a consolidated vendor base to drive synergy, mitigate risk and improve buying power.  Manage vendor performance.

4. Source products and ranges: develop ranges and product offers in-line with client’s expectations. Ensure the delivery of projects to the Brief and CPA. Actively source outside of plan, to present new opportunities and solutions to the Buying teams (pro-actively ‘Push’ new business).

5. Negotiate Commercial Terms: Negotiating commercial terms with vendors that deliver competitive advantage. Deliver margin gains through Cost Price Reduction, improve payment terms, Lower MOQ’s and reduced lead times. 

6. Deliver Category KPI’s: Ensure the achievement of the Shipment Budget. Ensure that the shipped products meet the expectations of the Group and are in line with the Vendor Manual – OTIF, Quality, Container Loading etc.

                      

 7. Delivery Office strategy & initiatives at category level

  

• ERP data accuracy to ensure office initiatives implementation

• Support New client on-board process from business transition, vendor base engagement, NPD

• Support sourcing activities requirement with supply chain team – VMI, SMI

• Promotion proposal refresh through periodically and engage with potential clients on promotion selection through promotion website

• Establish liable factory base to support office initiatives such as VMI, SMI and core range etc.

          

Requirements:

- 10+ years sourcing experience in sourcing, buying and product development, experience of working with Euro retailers and buyers;

- Product expert in Home category including furniture, home deco, storage etc.

- Excellent leadership skill, good at delegation, development and retainment of people;

- Category expertise, with knowledge of market trends, manufacture base, and best in class cost;

- Strong commercial sense and negotiation skill, aware of new developments and product opportunities;

- Bachelor degree or above, fluent in both oral and written English.
