Tasks and Competences

    

Software commissioning during new machines installations and upgrades of machines at customers site

  

• Installation and update of software on machines
• Commissioning of all controllers and their bus communication (Beckhoff, EtherCat, Ethernet)
• Adjustments to the configuration of the system software
• Support for hardware troubleshooting on systems by evaluating the signal tracking in the controller
• Transfer of the machine to the customer, support of the machine during production with customers, analysis and prioritization of customer problems
• Collaboration with software development and software integration for future improvement  

Complex troubleshooting of existing production machines at customer sites  

• Software update and customization of software configuration
• Check the signal processing and system parameters
• Evaluation of logs and error analysis
• Extended datalogging in the controllers and evaluation  

Support the in house technical support with troubleshooting via remote support in the topics above  

On-call service outside the centrotherm business hours  

Documentation of the activities carried out

• The definition, compliance of the processes and related tasks, such as document management, evaluation and continuous improvement and the achievement of the objectives of the processes are assured.

• The responsibility of the named roles (e.g. agent, project manager) in the area of responsibility are supported and promoted.

• The legal and company intern regulations of the occupational health and safety regulations and the accident prevention regulations of the accident insurance institutions are complied.  

    

  
  

Requirements / required qualifications

  

• Education / study in the field of automation technology / informatics / mechatronics or similar.
• >5 years working experience as equipment engineer, focus on electrical, automation.
• Analytical thinking, structured and methodical approach
• High team and communication skills
• Good English spoken and written skills
• Willingness to work at customer site(mainly in China mainland)
