Main Purpose of the Job:

  

  Our Product Designer will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of Sales, Project Managers, Quality Assurance Technicians, and Process Technicians in an open-minded environment. Your strong engineering and design skills will be your foundation for success.   

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

Technical Design

• Understand design intent, identify and communicate technical risks and help refine design concepts 

• Partner with others in the technical organization to create high-end packaging 

• Prepare plastic packaging designs for manufacturing via three-dimensional models, technical drawings following company standards 

• Execute 3D-prototyping and testing of packaging designs 

   

  Concept Design 

• Ideate and develop products with a keen understanding of the human factors and end-user needs

• Translate consumer needs, brand attributes into functional, beautiful, brandtargeted packaging solutions

• Communicates design ideas clearly and effectively by using various mediums

• Create an engaging presentation deliverables that may include research, packconcepts, renderings, and more

   

  Team Management

• Manages Product Design workload created by Presales and Packaging Management

• Continuously improve existing processes and ensures compliance with internal design standards

• Evaluates performance of individual team members 

• Able to mentor, coach and develop junior staff

   

  Qualification/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Design or equivalent work experience

• 3 – 5 years of experience in Engineering and Design

• Broad knowledge of key manufacturing processes (blow-molding, injection molding, etc.)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills within both engineering and design 

• Working knowledge of CAD systems (e.g. NX) and rendering software (e.g. KeyShot)

• Superior project management and time management skills ？ Critical problem solver and active listener
