Duties and Responsibilities

1.    Creating an environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth of the children assigned to the caseload.

2.    Serve as a team member in implementing creative lesson plans 

3.    Work in cooperation with co-teachers, site staff, the site leader.

4.    Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and child development philosophies and best practices for children ages 3-6

5.    Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to young children. 

6.    Knowledge of innovative lesson planning for children between ages of 3-6 years.

7.    Knowledge and experience of age-appropriate activities pertaining to early childhood education and English languet learning.

8.    Implement, and evaluate appropriate lesson plans. 

9.    Supervise all classroom and daily routine activities. 

10. Complete site lesson plan prep work as assigned

11. Complete formative and summative evaluations for each student for parent reporting. 

12. Submit supply requests and work orders to Curriculum Director in a timely fashion.

13. Establish and maintains a positive working relationship with parents and other staff members.

14. Establish a nurturing relationship with the children in addition to serving as a positive role model.

15. Treat children in a positive manner that encourages individuality and positive self-esteem. 

16. Responsible for maintaining bulletin boards according to the bulletin board schedule

17. Responsible for keeping class attendance, emergency, medical and registration forms on file for each child. 

18. Monitor and Implement the HEART principles of Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork 

Qualifications

1)    Preferred 1-3 years of experience working in early childhood education.

2)    Preferred TEFL or TESOL certifications.
