About us and the role:

H&M entered China in 2007 and has since grown rapidly. To be able to serve our Chinese customers even better and to strengthen our position on the market we are currently setting up a dedicated China Brand Hub. The China Brand Hub will function as an extension of the global HQ and have the responsibility to strengthen the brand, customer offer & customer experience in China.


The Marketing team in H&M’s China Brand Hub will be responsible to strengthen the H&M brand in China through strategic Marketing efforts. Ensuring that we, through creating modern and relevant communication, acquire and retain customers. 


We are now looking for an experienced Brand & Creative Partnerships Manager to join this new team. It’s a full-time position, reporting to the Head of Marketing in China Brand Hub, based in Shanghai.


What you will do

As Brand & Creative Partnerships Manager you are part of a diverse Marketing team that collaborates across roles to reach shared goals. In your role you are responsible to elevate the H&M brand in China by ensuring that we are collaborating with the right talent, models, KOL’s, IP's and brands on the market. By activating your extensive network of agencies and creatives you continuously secure and onboard the right partners for small and large projects. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Brand Partnerships

  • Establish and manage relationships with relevant talent management agencies
  • Stay up to date and identify opportunities by closely monitoring trends on the market
  • Scout new collaborations/partnerships (IP’s, co-branding’s, crossovers, celebrity endorsements, designer collaborations, etc.) based on research or assigned project brief
  • Evaluate potential partners together with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Initiate contact with new partners and lead the onboarding, negotiating scope & terms in dialogue with stakeholders
  • Act as main responsible for the relationship with the partner(s) and internal stakeholders (product development teams, marketing, legal, etc.)


Creative Partnerships

  • Source talent & creatives (photographers, stylist, hair, make up, models, KOL’s, etc.) for various projects, based on assigned brief
  • Set casting strategy & guidelines, based on overall brand strategy and guidelines
  • Handle and negotiate offers from agencies and production companies
  • Handle contracts with agencies, creatives, record labels/rights holders, production companies etc. (partly in collaboration with Legal resources).
  • Support internal project teams in ensuring that our partners follow through on their commitments


Who you are

In order to be a successful Brand & Creative Partnerships Manager at H&M we also believe you have/are:


?       8 years’ experience of similar roles, agency or client side

?       Strong & genuine interest in pop culture (entertainment, fashion, sports, etc.), always up to date and able to forecast coming trends

?       Experience from sourcing models, photographers, stylists, etc. within the fashion industry

?       Established network with agents and creatives within the fashion industry

?       Experience of contract management and excellent negotiation skills

?       Fast learner and used to working with tight deadlines at fast pace

?       Results-driven and entrepreneurial spirit that dare to innovate and challenge status quo.

?       Experience from large companies and international environments

?       Ability to communicate fluidly in both Chinese & English
