Position: Application Engineer (CAD Application Engineer for the Progressive Die Industry)

Location: Shanghai, China

Logopress, an AutoForm Company, has nearly 30 years of die design software development and feedback from customers. Logopress3 die design software provides an efficient and systematic workflow for tool design – with a special focus on die design – while adding consistency between designs and designers. Logopress3 builds upon SolidWorks, adding all the necessary tools, options and catalog components that die designers need to help automate the die design, debug and build processes. 

Logopress has been holding a market leading position in the US and strong positions in Europe for many years, and is now looking for talents to build a winning team in China. 

Your tasks:

• Arranging and conducting trainings in office and at customer site on how to use our software
• Providing technical support on how to apply our software (trouble shooting, identifying reasons and solving differences between Logopress simulation and reality, advising customers on progressive die processes and related areas)
• Sales support e.g. by holding software live demos and technical presentations (on-site, webinar, conferences)
• Technical account management: developing customer relationships, identifying/promoting opportunities for value added through Logopress software solutions
• Conduct market analysis and provide feedback/report to management in Europe
• Handle Chinese translation of Logopress software 
  

Your profile:

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering area (BSc. / MSc. level)
• Strong practical experience in progressive die design
• Fluent CAD user, ideally SOLIDWORKS
• Familiar with tool & die industry
• Personal network in automotive OEMs and supply chain is a plus
• Personality: good “teacher” and enjoys working with people, enjoys continuous learning, takes ownership to follow-up/solve customer questions/problems, “sales personality” to promote Logopress on technical level and influence customer’s working style and methodology
• Fluent/native Chinese, OK/good English skills
• Willingness to travel intensively within China (and sometimes abroad)
