Purpose:

The Head of Quality Management including QA and QC, Supply Center Chengdu, provides leadership and direction in development and deployment of a world-class quality and compliance level on site and within Animal Health. This position is responsible and accountable to safeguard the compliance status within existing and upcoming quality requirements, timely and efficient quality testing and the just in time release of Feed/Feed additive and Veterinary drug products. Within the site leadership team he/she acts as guard and consultant for compliance topics.

Key Tasks:

1.Managerial responsibility and accountability for processes, people and systems within a Quality Unit (QC lab and QA) in alignment with divisional QA. Leading employees and proactive talent management for building a skilled group of leaders and experts. 

2.Implement and maintain an efficient/cost effective Quality management system by taking holistic responsibility/accountability specially for the process performance and product quality monitoring system, corrective and preventive action system, change management system and management review of process performance and product quality.

3.Ensure the site quality procedure, activities and standards to comply with the relevant policies Ministry of Agriculture of China.

4.Ensures reliable, timely and cost effective supply by safeguarding Feed/Feed Additive and Veterinary drugs have been manufactured and checked in accordance with its marketing authorization, principles and guidelines of good manufacturing practice. Based on this he/she takes the market release decision as QP and acts as Authorized Person in combination with market release of finished products.

5.Ensures compliance with applicable regulations by designing and locally implementing a quality system reflecting Bayer global regulations as well as national Feed/Feed Additive Quality and Veterinary GMP regulations.

6.Interacts with external agencies in manufacturing and GMP compliance issues as well as in conducting and follow-up of agency inspections.

7.Improves processes focusing on key elements as part of a state of the art Veterinary drug quality system.

Qualification & Competencies:

Education/Experience: bachelor degree or above, majored in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary or related subjects, at least 3 years in managerial position.

Specific Knowledge & Skills: Familiar with (Veterinary) GMP; Good skills in leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analysis abilities; Good computer office skills and English reading/ listening/ writing/ speaking skills.
