Albemarle is expanding its Global SAP team to support its SAP S4 HANA landscape. This position will focus on the SAP Ariba solutions and other SAP Source-To-Pay solutions that support Procurement, Accounts Payable and Payments. The position be located preferably at our facility in Dalian - China.

This position works within a global IT team that is geographically dispersed and closely collaborates to effectively serve its SAP users. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with SAP business users, providing world wide support and designing solutions to meet business process requirements. The selected candidate will also participate in large scale programs as the need arises.

This position, as part of the IT Global Business Systems team, is an important role in operational, tactical and strategic analysis of Albemarle's total business in relation to Information technology used. The role will identify strategic capabilities needed to create and sustain one or more sources of competitive advantage.

These capabilities may come in the form of process, business systems, organization enablement, or IT knowledge. The role will identify best practices and business systems performance gaps, if any. The role will use best practices tools to identify, align, and change the factors that affect performance, stability, and teaming. Role is responsible for understanding and assessing business systems and operations, identifying issues and opportunities and recommending appropriate IT solutions. The role will ensure proper translation of business requirements into a set of structured business process, systems, technology, and organization specifications that satisfy the company’s strategic and operational objectives. This job requires extensive knowledge of company business operations, high analysis capability, and a thorough understanding of business systems development and implementation processes.

The candidate will be responsible to carry out the following job duties in their respective module:

• Manage system maintenance activities, ensuring change requests and all enhancements are progressed.
• Actively manage relationships with business and functional groups as designated point of contact.
• Project manager for large, complex projects.
• Actively manage relationships with third party providers as designated point of contact.
• Undertake systems analysis, design, and systems building activities.
• Work largely autonomously on a range of projects and tasks with multiple parts.

The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience related mainly to SAP ARIBA and to SAP MM and AP, either in SAP IT department or Business department using SAP solutions.
• A proven record of professional progression and a broad understanding of SAP.
• SAP experience: knowledge of SAP (Procurement, AP, Treasury/Payments) and SAP ARIBA (Ariba Network, Catalogs, Sourcing, Contract Management, CIG portal, ...)
• In addition the candidate should be future focused, willing to embrace new SAP technologies based on S/4 HANA, and related solutions like SAP TM, SAP eDoc, SAP Concur, OpenText Archiving and ECM
• BS degree in Administration, Finance or Computer Science
• Familiar with an international, multi-cultural environment
• Experience translating business needs into project requirements
• Fluent in English
