KPMG Forensic China and Hong Kong SAR has experienced forensic resources based in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. We provide clients with commercial and financial expertise in the areas of Fraud and Misconduct Investigations, Anti-money laundering and sanctions (AML and Sanctions) compliance Services, Fraud Risk Management, Forensic Technology and Corporate Intelligence services.

Responsibilities

- Designing and carrying out end to end testing of Sanctions and AML Transaction Monitoring systems, including model validation, data quality and integrity testing, threshold tuning, and apply advanced statistical models in projects

- Leverage data analytics of large volume of structured data of financial institutes, utilising a wide range of database management systems, statistical analysis tools and visualisation software

- Managing and supervising project teams in terms of, high quality of deliverables; ensuring deadlines are met and project risks quantified; building relationships and managing client stakeholder / relationships on projects

- Solving complex client or project issues using technical solutions

- Takes personal responsibilities and accountability for own work

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

This role will fully utilize the candidate’s programming, data analysis skills and AML knowledge. Strong technical skills are essential, as candidates will be expected to develop solutions either individually or as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a number of the following skill sets and experience:

- Sound data analytics educational background (such as statistics, mathematics, quantitative economy, computer science and etc.)

- Work / project experience with top domestic or international banks; Strong knowledge of banking systems and ETL process; including knowledge of AML and Sanctions filtering systems

- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis (such as regression, clustering, social network analysis, and etc), and extensive experience of application in complex real client data

- Significant experience with the following data manipulation software: SQL (Oracle / SQL Server), SAS or DB2; and statistics analytic tool (R, Python)

- Proven experience in report writing in both Chinese and English

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical analysis to a non-technical audience
