What You’ll Be Doing

As an Origin Shipping Coordinator at MADE you will be responsible for supporting the International Shipping Manager making sure that the data we provide to the business and our customers is accurate. You will be in daily contact with freight forwarders, merchandisers and the Shipping team in London, ensuring that our imported goods move swiftly through the different shipping stages of our supply chain.

●       Proactively check for discrepancies between information on MADE’s systems versus what is happening with our suppliers and Freight forwarders. Escalation issues to the appropriate teams when required

○    Work with the UK Merchandising and Far East Merchandisers to ensure issues are dealt with as sensitively as possible

○    Chasing stakeholders when required, while communicating with our London, Vietnam and China offices

●       Liaise directly with the freight forwarding companies making sure they deliver the contracted service and providing support where required;

●       Be the Far East person responsible for dealing with adhoc operational issues as they arise, making sure we can fix problems as they happen in the same timezone

●       Management of issue logs, capturing instances where contract terms have been breached and raise claims where required

●       Provide weekly reporting to our freight forwarders and warehouse teams

●       Update despatch dates and delay reasons in our ERP

●       Manage the circulation of import documents (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, COOs, BLs, …)

●       Provide import commodity codes for customs clearance when necessary

●       Support the planning and balancing of container despatches at our different ports of loading in several ports of Asia.

●       Escalate missed KPIs to our teams in China and Vietnam

●       Provide cover during holidays in the Shipping team

What you’ll need

●       Good Excel skills

●       Excellent communication skills - Written and Spoken English mandatory

●       Excellent Analytical skills

●       A great attention to detail

●       Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work well under pressure

●       Proven relevant experience of working with third party logistics partner
