POSITION OVERVIEW
· This is a fulltime position with the HR and PD&T team. The System Administrator, together with our Global System Administrators, external software partner and the Asia Pacific HR community, will play a key role in implementing, maintaining, servicing and supporting the development of an HRIS in China and other HR or PD&T Systems. In this position you will work as part of the global team being the main contact person to our operating groups to support improved data quality and functionality, in the Asia Pacific Regions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in supporting group level business unit implementation of the software tools and associated platforms in collaboration with the global System Administrators
· Execute and monitor security profiles attached to the security guidelines
· Interface with Global System Administrators on a regular basis to promote standardization and cooperation, as well as knowledge transfer
· Responsible for ensuring that users follow established control procedures for any changes that impact production systems
· Maintain and enhance data validity through regular reporting to system effectiveness and lead operational improvements
· Oversee and provide technical support to the different clients using the system infrastructure
· Act as a secondary support to Corporate and Group HR and Systems Administrators creating reports and analysis in the areas of support regarding activities involving payroll, time attendance, HR core data, succession planning, leadership development and other HR/PD&T programs
· Support of user initiated queries or reported problems
· Address end user complaints about service levels, system performance, etc.
· Responsible for resolving all end user systems related performance problems in connection with local or group level IT.
· Responsible for regular review of backup logs and initiates action to correct problems
· Ensure that all server documentation is kept up to date as required
· Cooperate with respective IT personnel at corporate, group and division level, in additional to external vendors
· Function as primary key contact to external Software provider for HRIS in China
· Work in close collaboration and provide support for all members of the HR and PD&T Teams in Asia Pacific
· Collaborate in content development for internal HR and PD&T Intranet sites to ensure a strong communication vehicle for all training related information within the global organization
· Deliver end user training to multiple stakeholders including lead trainer to Group level Systems Administrators and/or other HR representatives
· Conduct preliminary investigation for all project requests regarding the HRIS in China and collaborates with the Global System Administrators for all project requests regarding PeopleNET and CareerNET
· Key Participant of business process management group to collect and analyze metrics and continuously improve system related business processes.
· Understand and follow established rules, procedures and policies relating to position
· Continuously adhere to and apply the Magna Employee's Charter, the Magna Corporate Constitution, and the Magna Operational Principles in all aspects of position and interaction with others.
· Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures
· Other duties that may be assigned
QUALIFICATION
· Minimum of a University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field of study and/or min of 3-5 years related experience
· Knowledge of computer network products as demonstrated by work experience and/or education
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
· Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and oral in both Mandarin & English) in connecting to a global audience and excellent rapport with team members
· Results driven with strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to adapt to changing work priorities / environment
· Demonstrated experience in End User Systems training using multiple mediums (Web, Class-room, one-on-one) ensure effectiveness
· Demonstrated Project Management skills an asset
