Position Objective
Leads all reinsurance affairs covering treaty negotiation, administration and account settlement to ensure reinsurance arrangement in the best interest of the Company. Plans and Organizes all experience study affairs and ensures the studies are completed timely and provides accurate information for the decisions.
Roles and Responsibilities
Experience Studies (50%)
Leads the preparation of experience studies (on regular or ad hoc basis) in order to identify operational risks and set appropriate assumptions for product pricing and financial reporting.
? Plans and organizes the delivery of various experience studies as scheduled.
? Reviews the experience studies results, identifying the potential risks and initiates the actions that can improve the experience.
? Completes the experience study reports for management information or assumption determination.
Reinsurance (50%)
Be responsible for all of the reinsurance related affairs in order to ensure reinsurance to be arranged with the best interest of the Company and the reinsurance accounting to be handled accurately and timely.
? Ensure the reinsurance arrangement compliance with the Group guideline and regulatory requirements.
? Negotiates with reinsurers for a new reinsurance needs
? Ensures the inforce treaty for a better term to the Company.
? Ensures the accuracy of the reinsurance related accrual and timely bill settlements.
? Completes the reinsurance related reports to Group and regulators.
? Timely completion of the reports (experience studies and reinsurance).
? Accuracy and completeness of work produced by the Team.
? Feedback from reinsurers.
Job Requirements
? University graduate with 5+ years experience, preferably in Actuarial, Mathematics or Statistics.
? Fellow Actuary of SOA or equivalent.
? In depth knowledge of China insurance regulation relevant to actuarial practice and other related regulations.
? Thorough knowledge in the data processing for statistical analysis.
? Problem solving and analytical skills, leadership and team work ability.
? Good presentation and communication skills in Mandarin and English.
