Requirement

Master degree in Optics, Electro-optics, Physics or Electrical Engineering with strong optics and fiber optic background.
Have experience on Raman and EDFA design
Comprehensive knowledge of active and passive components, subsystem modules, and their test methods in optical fiber communication.
Ability to consolidate and analyze data.
Experience in optical modeling, design and product development.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of optical test solutions, and has the ability to do experiments and root cause analysis.
Ability to solve complex issues in optical design and product development.
Ability to use optical simulation tools programming, and to characterize prototypes.
Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is desired.


Responsibilities

Design and develop new or custom designed Linecard based solutions, including Raman and EDFA design.
Analyze customer and marketing technical requirements to meet new and specific customer needs.
Lead technicians and conduct the optical test for linecard or EDFA for verification.
Use existing simulation tools and experimental expertise to characterize prototypes.
Work with global mechanical, hardware design, software, FPGA engineers, and technicians to build, test and verify the new products.
Support the transfer of new designs to manufacturing, and resolve any technical design issues. Interact with the new product introduction group to assist in the introduction to manufacturing of new designs.
