PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  

• Communicate Effectively.  Effectively communicate supplier related issues to applicable people.  Issues could be missed shipments, schedule changes, or engineering change.  Clearly communicate responsibilities to Sales, Engineering, production, Quality and Warehouse.  Interact with buyer regarding quality issue, revision change, package or other topics to develop and maintain a good working relationship.

• Material Planning.      

• Analyze requirements and purchase schedule appropriate production/Sales order. 

• Check and verify MRP result and release material order to suppliers on daily/weekly basis.

• Track shipment that is on the way to meet production without production shutdown:

  • Check supplier ASN maintained correctively.

  • Work with internal departments coordinate urgent incoming parts once shipment arrival.

• Organize WIP count and cycle count to verify inventory accuracy of purchasing schedules. Analysis the reason for discrepancy. Track component availability and on-hand balance accuracy.  Reconcile inventory errors and shortages. 

• Highlight shortage Risk and work with Master production Planner to make sure produce smooth. Propose planning changes to supervisors and management.

• Evaluate supplier performance. Expedite Suppliers (including internal HUSCO) and record Supplier metrics. 

  • Premium Freight Control and Complete recovery.

  • Verify receipts and invoice, provide to finance for payments.

  • Supplier Delivery On time Record.

• Work with SDE and program manager about ECN to assure no excess inventory for ECN, Revision change.                         

• Prioritize Daily Activities. 

• Able to work in a fast paced environment with limited resources and strong sense of urgency.

• Effectively prioritize and complete supply chain activities – processing release and verify scheduling, shipping, logistics, receipts.

• Utilize Various Systems Effectively.  Strong understanding and utilization of the following systems:

• Baan – Using Baan ERP system. Maintain Item Master accuracy; Material Requirements Planning; Maintain Inventory account.

• BI Reports- Check BI report and know how to use the data under limited training.             

• Excel - Create spreadsheets and update as needed. 

• Supplier Portal (Network to Release order to suppliers).    

• Strong Team Player and Contributor.  Able to work well with colleagues and produce results within a fast-paced and high pressure atmosphere. Combine strong attention to detail with an orientation towards results/execution.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  

• Associates Degree in technical discipline or equivalent education and experience.

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in both inventory control and materials/production planning strongly preferred. 

• Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with other functional areas as follows: Operations, Design Engineering, Supply Management and Sales, finance. 

• Effective trouble shooting, problem solving and organizational skills.  Able to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, and handle conflict in an effective manner.  

• Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. 

• Experience with Microsoft Office products.

• Ability to interact with people at all levels of responsibility.

• Automotive material planning experience is preferred.
