Under the direction of the Campus Financial Officer, the [Financial System Administrator] is responsible for maintaining and growing NYU Shanghai's Workday Financials ERP System, including maintaining and configuring financial data and business processes across the functional areas of financial accounting, procurement and supplier contracts, expenses, supplier accounts (accounts payable), asset management.
The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable communicating advanced concepts to a diverse group of stakeholders in a multi-cultural and fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and maintain financial setup data and business processes across multiple functional areas.
- Identifies and analyze user needs and business, financial or operating procedures. Design, develop, implement and integrate new or revised NYU Shanghai policies and procedures within the NYU Shanghai Workday Financial system
- Perform analysis and effective diagnosis of user issues.
- Consult with departmentsand the NYU Shanghai Workday [Human Resources Administrator] counterpart to maximize efficiency on broad range of operations, ranging from financial system strategy to process design to shared and self-service functions and enabling technologies
Qualification & Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent
- +5 years PS/SAP/Oracle background coupled with hands-on experience managing the ERP systems.
- Experience working in the ERP Software Implementation Life Cycle - planning and analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with clients, and have a strong desire to excel
- Project management and/or team lead experience
- Excellent team skills and leadership capabilities with effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to blend in a multicultural and cross-regional working team.
- Strong problem solving capability, able to analyze and structure complex issues and develop operational and organizational solutions
- Profound understanding of the demands and drivers in a Service organization
- Good proficiency in English a must
