Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Participate in the analysis of customers' specific requirements in order to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints in co-operation with the sales team.
- Ensure client project support with functional knowledge during the implementation of the solutions.
- Develop, implement, test, modify and advise on specific solutions.
- Manage a team of business and/or technical consultants.
- Manage resource allocation effectively and efficiently whilst fully satisfying customer needs.
- Manage project schedules and report RAG status to Professional Services Manager on a weekly basis.
- Ensure standard project management processes, procedures and documentation are adhered to.
- Mentor team members in new processes and procedures to ensure the highest quality.
- Provide pre-sales support with major accounts and ensure that project estimations are well founded and acceptable within the sales process.
- Achieve profitability targets by delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Manage major project issues raised by customers.
- Regularly report to line manager.
- Other tasks assigned by senior management
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related major
Experience and knowledge
Essential:
- 7+ years previous working experience in software implementation and operations
- Strong technical background, including some of: Oracle 10g, 11g, interpretation of views, PL/SQL Stored procedures, SQL Server 2000 and greater, VB Script and Java Script, C# (interpret), Java EE (Interpret)

- Extensive experience of implementing financial IT solutions
- Ability to work with customers at a senior management level, including western customers
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget

Desirable:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar qualification.
- Banking Systems experience such as Bank GL, Hyperion, Oracle Financial Suite, SAP
- Fluency in English, written and oral
Personal qualifications
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Process oriented, methodical and organised
- Self-learner
- Team player with proven leadership skills
- Strong problem solving
- A willingness to accept responsibility for self and the team
- Good presentation skills
- To be based in Shanghai but with a willingness to travel up to 25%, mainly within China
- Energetic and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
