IBM recognized the IT executive leadership's shift in priority from one of focus on managing technology to that of participation with business strategy development, value creation, contributing to business results as well as managing technology. IT exists to support Business Processes that execute the business strategy. While that might sound simple, implementing IT solutions within organizations is often quite complex. It involves aligning IT with evolving business strategy while delicately balancing new solution deployments and maintaining existing ones. Changes in business strategies, rapidly changing business environments and the myriad of technology options only compound IT's already complex challenges. Further complicating matters are on-going resource challenges surrounding people, budget and tools. The IBM Executive Consulting program is designed to help clients set their own IT agenda to address these challenges and to operate more nimbly and effectively. It focuses on aligning IT with business objectives, formulating an IT strategic plan and developing prioritized IT roadmaps to enable the strategic plan to be realized. The Product Services Professional - (Consulting Assistant) will support the GCG Systems Agenda Practice Leader in the following areas:
Strong organizational skills - Manage a Systems Agenda Executive Consulting local database (Presentations, Customer Information and Industry Information)
Maintain opportunity funnel for relevant customer interaction by contacting OM's, client and account team. Update consulting opportunity tracking form on a weekly basis.
Convert English Executive Consulting and Systems Agenda presentations, documents and communications to Chinese as needed
Help prepare and customize presentations based on SA Consultant directions for new, target and existing System Agenda customers
Help Practice leader improve his knowledge of the Chinese language
Provide input into SA opportunities as it pertains to their knowledge and experience
Become an (junior) evangelist for the Systems Agenda program within GCG
Travel to client meetings with Practice Leader to perform translation as needed.

This position will offer the right candidate a very rewarding career path within the Executive Consulting practice. Through training and participation in client engagements the Assistant Consultant will gain the necessary skills to take on bigger challenges.

This job is a support role in a new strategy consulting organization. This job is not a technical solution or engineering position.
Required Skills
2 years IT industry experience customer interface skills
Awareness of customer relationship management
Some IT industry knowledge Ability to translate English presentations into Business Chinese
Capable to support SA consultant with Chinese language support during preparation, meetings and when preparing for presentations.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)Skilled in the use of MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Experienced with presentation preparation
