Main Responsibilities:
- Identification of potential new business through innovative product developments in cooperation with business development and marketing.
- Continuously optimize existing product formulations according to market, quality, cost and recycling requirements
- Regional scale-up and formulation support for compounding plants in terms of quality, processing conditions, raw materials and complaint/ problem solving in cooperation with production and quality department
- Global Communication of Developments for all polycarbonate products with innovation community, the technical community and production sites (EMEA, NAFTA & APAC) to support marketing and market introduction of the new development products
- Technically responsible for qualification and specification both for raw materials as well as for final products in APAC in close communication with Innovation and Technical Product Management
- Be responsible for formulation transfer from/ into the other regions, secure and transfer formulation know-how between the regions.
- Support joint development projects with customers to develop solutions for them.
- Responsible for IP protection of developed products and observation of IP activities of competition.

Qualification & Requirements:
-Ph.D. major in Polymer Science or Plastics Engineering
-More than 5 years working experience in the plastic industry, preferably with hand on experience on engineering plastics compounding process.
- Strong knowledge on polymer properties and polymer modification
- Good command of spoken & written English and Chinese
- Process good leadership skill
- Able to work in complex environments and under high pressure
- Able to provide and/or challenge strategies
- A team player
- Good communication skill at all level in the organization
- Able to work independently
- Mature, organize and reliable
- Show initiative and keen to improve on skill and knowledge
- High level negotiating skills
- Highly self-motivated
