Scope:            The Senior Analytical Chemist is the key technical resource to provide practical solutions to the encountered analytical problems. He or she will lead the efforts to support manufacturing and process development activities, including new raw material supplier qualification, process change related qualification, training the toller’s QC staff, monitor the tolled product quality etc. He/she will be also heavily involved in registration support on product chemistry.

 

Major Responsibilities:

1.       Provide analytical support to the business, including:

Deliver analytical solutions to support AI manufacturing and sourcing within budget and timeframe.

Actively participate to trouble shooting, process improvement, and cost reduction project.

Work with cross functions to fix quality issues and customer complaint, and to ensure quality requirements and customer needs are met.

Provide analytical support to qualify new raw material sources.

2.        Act as technical liaison from CTC/API to support the global submission of AI registration, which may include but not limit to:

Coordinate the registration sample and conduct GLP studies

Review product specification

Support regulatory defense

3.       Act as analytical science expertise internal and external. Maintain a working knowledge of the advanced analytical technology.

4.       Well understand GLP principle and in compliant with quality standard in daily work. 

5.       Ensure that the knowledge and intellectual property, which belongs to FMC, is adequately protected.

6.       Ensure that FMC standards of safety, health, environment and Responsible Care are implemented and sustained in all activities.

  

 Requirements:

1. MS holder with minimum 6 years experience or PhD holder with minimum 3 years experience in analytical chemistry in agrochemical/pharmaceuticals industry.

2. Strong method development capability (i.e. HPLC, GC, MS, etc.) to support process development projects.

3. Processes a good knowledge of spectroscopy, chromatography and laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration & qualification etc.

4. Ability to operate and interpret spectroscopy and chromatography, such as HPLC, GC, prep-LC, LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR etc.

5. Proven situational leadership capability.

6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Strong self-motivated and work independently under stress.

8. Good English proficiency in both oral and written.

9. Excellent PC skills.

10. Ability to travel on a needed base.
