Responsiblities
Strategic planning and marketing
-Regular site visits for in-depth and comprehensive first-hand info of OEMs and competitors to develop strategic goals aligned with customer needs
-Shape product and service positioning with analysis on customer requirements and value drivers
-Dev. long-term product strategic and operational mktg. plan with market assessment and customer segmentation
-Screen opportunities for local product innovation analyzing market trend, strategic fit, and business potential
Pricing and margin management
-Set price with industry understanding, P&L analysis, value-based pricing intelligence, and transactional pricing mgmt.
-Collect deal background from KAMs, generate sandbox with standard and consistent analysis, and submit RFA
-Set commercial terms in contracts to guide key negotiations with minimized potential risks
-Set changing price on BOM MOC with analysis on the engineering change associated cost
-Dev. and drive cost saving initiatives with deep understanding on product, process, and operations
Project-based strategy execution
-Sponsor commercial dev. for new product launches namely concept dev. and market validation
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree, Master degree or MBA is a plus
- >8 years working experience in marketing function in automotive industry or related service firms for strategy and pricing expertise
- Finance background, pricing experience, or material engineering experience is a plus
- Deep understanding on auto market and OEM behaviors
- Expertise in commercial strategy, and ability to develop a plan to pinpoint the area for the value stream to focus on
- Expertise in segmentation, value-based pricing, product portfolio strategy to guide internal material selection
- Strategic thinking and open-mind with global mindset
- Skills in analysis to evaluate costs associated with product and process change
- Expertise in engineering to understand product & process
- Understanding on product cost structure and supply-chain for cost saving initiatives
- Good communication skills including fluent communication in English
- Knowledge of the light-weighting material design concept and value of aluminum in auto applications
