The Senior PHP Developer position is ideal for candidates with 3 - 5 years of proven software development experience. With your mastery of PHP, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining custom PHP modules for existing and future websites. Working with our exceptional development team, you will have a significant level of responsibility within our company and will be expected to influence the development direction. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cutting edge web solutions.


Report to
? IT and Development Director
? Works with Technical Architect and Technical Team Lead reporting jointly to the Project Manager

Responsibilities
? Develop procedures to solve complex technical problems
? Develop functional documentation based on user requirements
? Design, build, test, release and maintain PHP websites
? Assist Project Manager, Technical Lead and Technical Architect to provide detailed work estimates
? Work with Project Manager to ensure timely delivery and execution of completed e-commerce site builds
? Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate developers

Qualifications
? Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering
? Minimum 3 years' software development experience with PHP
? Expereince with the Symfony/Doctrine framework considered a plus
? Experienced in MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB/SQLite database programming and optimizations
? Experienced in Web Services, SOAP
? Experienced in cache system
? Working knowledge of LAMP or LNMP
? Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), Ajax, SVN, Eclipse
? Working knowledge of MVC and ORM design pattern
? Good written and verbal communication skills
? Problem solving and process driven

Desired Skills
? Certifications in technology platforms, such as PHP and Synfony
? Solid knowledge and experience of object-oriented concepts and design patterns
? Knowledge of the Magento platform a plus
