Job Summary:

  

The Sourcing Project Engineer will be responsible for managing new sourcing project or new outsourcing product from start to implementation, support to select a qualified supplier, develop a project schedule with milestone deliverables, support cost negotiation to meet company targets, design qualification and production ramp up plan. To lead the project for successful launch or transfer.

  

 

  

 

  

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  

• New sourcing for all kinds of demand on new product by Zip Australia team.
• Quotation comparison and summary for best vendor selection.
• Develop NPD schedule, drive suppliers on milestone deliverables.
• Lead new sample and tooling qualification schedules, FAI and PPAP reviews.
• Lead the production line setup with SOP, operator training, QC standard, etc.
• Manage initial mass production preparation and daily manufacturing output tracking to ensure delivery on time.
• Initiate or support on VA/VE projects to meet annual saving target.
• Follow up the implementation of design change by Zip Australia.
• Support with contract setup/agreeing commercial terms with new suppliers.
• Market scanning for new opportunities about new vendors in Asia.
• Identify opportunities for rationalization/consolidation of suppliers with Culligan group, to leverage the cost and get cost saving.

  

 

  

 

  

Job Requirements:

  

• 4 years bachelor degree in engineering, or similar.
• Experience in manufacturing process, plastic molding, stamping, machining, etc.
• Very strong in cost analysis by working out cost break down.
• 2+ years strategic sourcing and project management experience (direct sourcing). 
• Excellent time management, project scheduling with contingency plans.
• Experience in Western companies for international business.
• Effective and Strong communication ability with colleagues overseas.
• Self-motivated with high energy, strong problem solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Accept overtime working, and frequent domestic business travel.
