Job Title: Garment Product Development Manager (服装产品开发经理)
Product Line: Ladies, Men's, Kid's and Fashion Accessory
Client: A leading european Fashion Retailer with Global Sourcing Office in Shanghai
Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:

Understand the retail markets in which we trade for product handwriting through in country visits.
Evaluate the supply base for product offer, design support, and fabric/trim sourcing and put into place systems to deliver best in class systems
Research and communicate International Sourcing supply base market intelligence to the Commercial Merchandising Team when required
Establish close working relationship with Global Design and Buying teams through regular communication
Manage Global Design and Buying sampling with Merchandise team to ensure on time delivery of samples to the Global Buying Teams
Develop supply base in terms of skill to land right first time sampling through specialist knowledge and coaching to continually upskill our supply base
Attend key sourcing fairs with Category Managers and Merchandising Managers to understand and support new suppliers into the Business where required
Build team capability and improve staff retention where required

Requirements:

Graduate in Design and with at lease 10 years related experience and above 3 years team management experience
An outgoing personality, with a passion for fashion / product development and team build experience is essential
Fluent English & local language skills are essential
Must have good knowledge or experience of working with woven and knit fabrics
Has oversea study background for fashion design is plus
