Fabric Sourcing Merchandiser

A reputed liaison company Maceton in Dhaka is looking for a qualified, experienced fabric Sourcing Merchandiser for immediate appointment.

LOCATION:

Shanghai, availability for travel to Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan and Germany

REPORTING:

Report to the Department Head of Bangladesh Office

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 5yrs merchandising experience on fabric
2. Must have vast knowledge on knit & woven fabric sourcing
3. Must have vast knowledge on sweater yarn sourcing
4. Good knowledge in any kind of functional fabric
5. Extensive vendor sourcing network
6. Strong communication and price negotiation skills
   
   

EDUCATION:

B.Sc. in textile engineering from any reputed university/MBA in apparel fashion technology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

• Closely work with merchandising team and Development team as per their requirement.
• Research and develop new fabric according to design idea and ensure to meet target price.
• Research present market trend and share with Development team.
• Develop new fabrics based on fashion trends & closely work with development team.
• Continuously visit different types of fabric mills, build up relationship with factory management.
• Provide sample fabric support to development team based on their demand.
• Share new trend fabric hanger continuously, including fabric details.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management

OTHER KNOWLEDGE:

Intermediate computer skills
Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese is essential, used to working in an English-speaking environment

SALARY: negotiable
