Responsibilities:

• Control accuracy of information integrated into accounting application A/R (billing systems).
• Receive and allocate cash (as input to credit management and collections). Receive cheques or bill of exchanges,obtain appropriate signatures and send them to the bank.
• Control and follow up of outstanding debtors (aging balances)
• Provide information on customers accounts on demand from local entities.
• Control completeness customer's request forms and create customers in the Financial master file
• Contact credit insurance companies and provide recommended credit limit to local entities
• Provide support to G/L team to reach monthly closing deadline.
• Perform financial activities to help other SSC team members to meet process performance and objectives.
• Book I/C payments received
• Prepare and send monthly I/C confirmations (debtors)
• Prepare dunning letters
• Work with own team and/or with other process teams to identify, and implement improvement opportunities.
• Deliver high levels of customer service within the AR process area, in accordance with process performance.
• Timely response to local entities queries.
• Helpful, friendly and informative communications.
• Proactive in meeting customer needs and requirements.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of AR accounting principles, activities and processes
• Awareness of internal and external business environment, ideally gained through a finance services/SSC environment
• Knowledge of manufacturing / Distribution environment desirable
• Knowledge of credit insurance applications
• Bachelor degree or equivalent plus 2-4 years relevant, practical experience Competent and experienced in 'in scope' AR activities - qualified or part qualified desirable
• Experience working in a multicultural environment desirable
• Experience of working in a process and continuous improvement focused environment desirable
