Position Summary:
Responsible for testing and evaluation of Advantek products, new products and

Competitor's products



Duties and Responsibilities
· Daily work direction for the lab by formulating test plans and procedures.

· Training and orientation of Advantek's personnel.

· Interface and work with Suppliers, Engineering, Quality and Sales on quality and technical issues.

· Support department by assisting with projects as needed.

· Represent the Materials Science Lab in select meetings.

· Provide feedback in verbal or report format on submitted testing, Quality issues or potential problems that need that level of attention.

· Maintain test equipment and evaluate needs for new equipment or upgrades.

· Maintain job log history with hard copies and electronically on the file server.

· Test and document results on new experimental materials for easy access on the file server.

· Where applicable test in accordance with Industry standards (ASTM, EIA).

· Accurate data entry and test analysis where needed.

· Incorporate safe working procedures into all daily activities.

· Maintain 5S in work area



Skills and Knowledge
· Bachelor's degree preferably in Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

· Six years experience in testing and analysis environment.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English.

· Capable with Computer Software, Word and Excel for reports, data entry and graphs.

· Knowledgeable in testing and evaluation of different types of materials preferably in accordance with ISO, ASTM, EIA standards etc.

· Has basic knowledge in the operation of various test and production equipment

· Familiar with FTIR, Instron Tester, microscopy, and various thermal analysis is preferred but not required
