POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Manager is responsible to work with sales, customers, suppliers and other industry members to understand what challenges and issues our customers face, and determine how to bring solutions through using our products and services. The Product Manager is expected to identify and develop promotional or other materials needed in their assigned product lines. He/She will need to identify the "Needs" in the market, and be the driving force in developing the "Needs" into an actual product to the market.





ROLLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Product Management

o Product Management for the Advantek associated product like Cover tape, Barrier Bags, Desiccants, Humidity Indicator Cards, Dicing Tape and Bands. To beef up the existing portfolio and to continuously improve the cost and performance of the existing product.

o To ensure duplicates suppliers for each line.




2. New product introduction

o To support and implement the product development into the Advantek product line. This requires doing commercial and technical feasibility check, forming NPI team to make a new product.


3. Product pricing strategy

o Will need to provide the pricing strategy for the products to the market. He/She will need to work closely with different function to come out with the correct pricing to ensure the product is profitable and marketable.



4. Advantek communication and Advantek technical bulletin

o In charge of the assigned Product technical bulletin, Product sales advisory, Process Change Notification and Product announcement.



5. Product Launch and Promotion

o Identify and develop promotional or other materials needed to help increase sales of assigned product lines.

o Provide product training to customer is required.



REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor Degree (MBA has the added advantage)
Minimum 3 years of relevant product marketing experience within an electronic product or packaging industry.
Experience working in a matrix organization within a geographically diverse organization will be an advantage.
Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
Excellent communicator who is confident in communication at a senior level both within the region, Advantek headquarter and customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Results-oriented, confident and possess good interpersonal skill
Dynamic, self-motivated and possess an outgoing personality
Creative, meticulous and able to thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure business environment. Able to work independently with minimum supervision, and also in a team
