JOB OBJECTIVES:
1. To assist and support Manager to manage injection moulding shop to comply with international standards of ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and EHS compliance.
2. Provides engineering support and supervises all aspects of related to test specimen production, quality, process maintenance, process improvement and maintenance.
3. Performs trouble shooting of moulding processes and secondary operations (automation, trimming, and packaging) and equipment.
4. Assists internal or external service provider in repairing and updating production equipment and making recommendations for improvement of processes.
5. Utilizes sound processing and moulding knowledge in setting and maintaining process operating parameters of moulds, and related support equipment. Assures adherence to manufacturing requirements.
6. Responsible in setting and maintaining optimum moulding parameters to achieve production volume goals at the highest quality level with the lowest cost.
7. Possesses ability to program or trouble process equipment (different makes), maintain mould data, check and repair automation equipment, etc.
8. Should be well versed in practical engineering disciplines of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical engineering. These principles will be used on a daily basis for processing and troubleshooting.
9. Involved in ISO related activities, safety & health audits activities, Kaizen events, etc.
10. Hands on experience in the tooling part of plastic injection moulding, taking apart and adjusting moulds on a daily basis is required.
11. Working knowledge of design/development of manufacturing systems with emphasis on new moulds and moulding processes.
12. Create or understand mould flow analysis and be able to provide technical support to other functional areas as needed.
13. Utilize project management skills to successfully plan, manage, and implement installations or modifications of new equipment and/or machinery to support the injection moulding processes. Will be coordinating projects from inception through start-up and hand over to production QC lab and/or area owner.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinates with other engineers, colleagues and customer to improve existing injection moulded parts and generate support data to recommend changes.

2. Plans, designs, coordinates and manages to completion capital and continuous improvement projects to meet quality, productivity and cost objectives consistent with departmental goals.

3. Maintain, train and handle daily activities related to 5S, my machine &my area activities, etc.

4. Run and maintain the risk assessments, ensure safety adherence, champion safety improvement activities, etc.

5. Tracks, charts and makes corrections based on data related to productivity, quality, safety, cost, etc.

6. In charge of mould changes, setting up of mould fixtures, moving equipment and test specimen preparation upon request .

7. Utilizes sound knowledge of engineering plastic and moulding to improve processing features and to make the operations more efficient


REQUIREMENTS:
1. At least Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or related field is required .In lieu of degree requirement, may accept four years of additional process/manufacturing engineering experience.
2. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of manufacturing, R&D or related experience in moulding's and material testing,
3. Value added if has experience of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
4. Broad knowledge of quality management system on ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001.
5. Familiarity with quality requirements and/or work experience with the plastic parts industries preferred.
6. Sound English (reading, writing, speaking)
