Job Title Tooling Engineer
Department IPD Purchasing
Reports To Director Value Management

RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Review and assess supplier quotations focusing on (but not limited to)
a Injection molding part Tooling and Equipments
b Stamping parts Tooling and Equipments
c Sunshade parts Tooling and Equipments
d PU and PVC Encapsulated glass panel Tooling and Equipments
e Mechanism parts Tooling and Equipments ( fine stampings and over moldings)
f Sunroof assembly lines
2 On site visits Suppliers and Toolmakers for cost , quality , Timing assessment
3 Coordinate actions with EU and US colleagues regarding tooling Kicked-off in Asia , including on site toolmakers visits
4 Support Commodity and Advanced Buyer in using and developing Cost analysis forms and Supplier Timeline templates for Tooling and Equipments for all major commodities
5 To gather " tooling saving " documentation for Asian region ( China and Korea )
6 Organize and enforce using Tooling Design Review with suppliers for all main components
7 Analyze 'tooling saving ' documentation in comparison with defined budget and Target costs
8. Release and maintain tooling approval forms , according SQD and Value manager directions
9 Support Tooling Target cost set up
10 Support Customer Tooling and Equipment audits
11 Maintain and update Inalfa and IPD Tools data base
12 Review and updated periodically local hour cost matrix through market investigations
13 Release and maintain Supplier data base , with main focus of potential new suppliers in LCC
14 Investigate market to identify potential new materials and technologies to introduce in VAVE activities
15 Monitor and report Global VAVE activities progress, and highlight eventual deviations to target
16 Support regional VAVE Team in applying techniques to generate saving ideas - Brainstorming , Standardization Cost analysis comparison
17 Monitor monthly VA VE activities with suppliers and customers reporting deviations to agreed targets

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
? Technical or Economic degree or equivalent; or 2 to 5 years of automotive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. It will be preferred title
Direct experience in Tooling and related equipments
Direct experience in CAD/CAM and CNC programming software for at least 2 years
? Ability to speak/read fluently English language
? Must be able to travel up to 50 % of the time
