The Demand Planner is to work with business team to maintain, facilitate, manage and communicate the historical and forecasted customer demand for all products for Asia to work for opportunity to improve performance of forecast accuracy in Asia. The Demand Planner will support the Supply Chain Managers/Operations Planners by preparing forecasting metrics and reports for the S&OP process.


Responsibility:


The Demand Planner is to closely work with business team to manage the demand forecast for Epoxy Asia and improvement the forecast accuracy in Asia. The Demand Planner is the primary owner of the forecasting tool and will facilitate the Demand Planning Meeting in a team based culture. The Demand Planner will support the Supply Chain Managers/Operations Planners by preparing forecasting metrics and reports for the S&OP process.


A. Process Ownership
- Responsible for the Demand Planning Process
- Develops and maintains demand management procedures and workflows.
- Produces and distributes weekly and monthly demand management performance metrics used for continuous improvement of the demand management process.
- Manages, facilitates and coordinates the demand forecasting, analysis, and reporting process.


B. Business & Operations Partnership
- Leads monthly demand meetings with the commercial teams to review forecast and demand metrics.
- Participates in supply meetings with a focus on upcoming supply changes, supply pinch points or excess supply that will impact demand.
- Provides monthly demand reports.
- Partners with the commercial teams to manage customer demand for products at the customer/product (family, product, sku) level over the long term. Documents all assumptions used to make changes.
- Communicates the latest forecast and actual demand to Sales and Marketing, at appropriate level of detail for the relevant stakeholders.
- Analysis with business team about forecast accuracy and bias to improve FA to target level structurally


C. Data and Systems Management
- Maintains the statistically-generated forecasts and related parameters in the Demand Management system.
- Monitors and maintains data integrity in the DM tool through data re-alignments, data inactivation, etc.
- Manages the ABC Customer ranking in Zemeter DM.
- Identifies exceptions, such as over-selling and under-selling SKUs, forecast bias, large forecast errors throughout the month
- Manages special projects and data analysis within the Supply Chain areas for the Supply Chain Team.
- Trains team members to provide back-up support in the incumbent's absence.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor degree
- Minimum 5 years working experience
- Good command of English in oral and written
- Strong communication skill with open minded
- Experience in demand management systems, working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
- Ability to effectively manage conflict
- Meeting facilitation skills
- Preferably in the chemical industry
- Functional background in supply chain.
- Strong management of change skills and experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence
