职位描述
Major Responsibilities:
· Champion the NPI cost estimation process during pre-CQA and CQA phase. Ensuring that CQA targets are met and all necessary quotations are processed, accurate costed BOM’s have been received and Business Case assumptions are accurate from the purchased material standpoint.
· Interface with Program Management and Engineering to ensure that assumptions are accurate and to coordinate which components will require outside quotations. Represent purchasing at GDPIM and CQA sign off meetings in case Purchasing Manager cannot attend.
· To establish, monitor and meet objectives in support of business SAP’s (Strategic Action Plans) and contribute to the development and achievement of annual budgets.
· To lead and organize multi-functional cost improvement teams to meet future goals.
· To be accountable for the smooth and effective interaction between Purchasing and all other functions, in order to provide the optimum service for the business.
· Aid in the strategic evaluation of potential suppliers.
· Lead efforts to streamline / develop processes (Bid quote / Business case / CQA etc.).
· Bundling of change management programs together with Engineering / Sales.
· Develop cost models for new products.
· Represent Purchasing and TRW with the Customer.
· Represent Purchasing in business events such as strategic reviews, product reviews, senior management reviews, etc.
Key Competencies:
· Awareness of the nature of business / corporate strategy and a much greater understanding of the appropriateness of different purchasing strategies.
· A broad understanding of the product, market cost drivers for such a portfolio and the nature of supply market structures.
· Ability to express a subject clearly and understandable and to persuade others. Correct exchange of information within or outside the company.
· Fluency in the English Language.
· Able to categorize work processes according to importance.
· Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities.
· Ability to adjust or adapt to changed situations, problems and tasks quickly (comprehensive).
· Team leadership skills.
· Self-motivated for the speedy execution of given tasks.
· Ability and versatility to fulfil different tasks according to manner and intensity.
Education and Experience:
Educational: Diploma / Degree level, preferably in an engineering / technology or commercial subject desirable.
Experience: At least three years Project Management experience through the entire project life cycle as outlined in the PMI PMBOK (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling, Closing). Six to ten years experience in the automotive or supplier industry.
Attributes: Open minded to find solutions for the task, Ability to communicate effectively in English.
