Overall Purpose of Job:

Cost Estimating Analyst is a part of the Finance Department, Asia Pacific. The Prime role of the Cost Estimating Analyst is to be responsible for cost estimating and business case preparation for customer quotations in Asia Pacific.

Major Responsibilities:

· Play a key role in the cost estimating process, and preparation and update of business case by working with all functions in the organization for customer quotations.

· Support CQA process in Asia Pacific

· Support Program management for cost analysis and control during program execution phase

· Develop and maintain the cost models to project product costs

· Responsible for maintaining cost database

· Assist competitive analysis to develop competitors product cost

· Assist the manufacturing plants and Asia Pacific Management team with make vs. buy analysis

· Work with the cost specialists in Asia Pacific plants to ensure the standard cost system is maintained and updated on a timely basis.

· Assist in special projects as required

Key Competencies:

· Bachelor degree in Finance or Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering

· Minimum three years experience in Finance or Engineering. Plant experience in manufacturing industry desired. Experience in automotive manufacturing industry is a plus.

· Excellent communication skills; strong English speaking and writing abilities.

· Ability to meet deadlines, and to work independently without close supervision.

· Must be a team player. Good personal skills; demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the management.

· Advanced Skills in Excel, and other MS Office products.

Education and Experience:

Educational: Bachelor degree in finance or accounting or engineering. CPA, CMA or other professional certification desirable, but not required.

Experience: Finance/engineering experience over 3 years; those with working experience in a multinational environment is an added advantage.
