职位描述
Overall Purpose of Job
This should be a broad overview of this position's function. Include the overall scope of the position and the authority this position possesses in terms of programs/ projects/ operations and establishing policy.
l NPI Buyer is part of Purchasing Department. This position's prime responsibility is to develop and implement specific product work packages to ensure the objectives of TRW Automotive Purchasing and Operations are met.
Major Responsibilities
List the major responsibilities and accountabilities of this position. Include quantifiable data where appropriate (i.e. budget dollars, etc.)
. Project Control
l Monitor issues and give early warning of any major hazards to projects
l Present product launch to commodity team
l Issue capacity statement from supplier based on known volume
l Confirm capacity capability through joint meetings with SDE
l Establish component level expected PPM target based on customer expected target
l Arrange regular supplier reviews and visit key suppliers to ensure project is on track
l Monitor drawing & BOM releases from engineering to ensure timely transition and planning
l Issue regular updates on project status to commodity team
l Identify long lead times to commodity team & agree a management plan
l Organize regular commodity team reviews
l Ensure commodity purchasing/procurement are aware of build demands and customer expectations
l Support DV/PV builds
l Represent purchasing in the GDPIM process
l Represent purchasing tin the CQA process
l Represent purchasing in the VAVE process and coordinate purchasing input with commodity teams and core development NPI
Cost Control
l Issue BOMs to commodity team
l Track changes in BOM & record
l Identify target costs & track
l Monitor scrap/liability costs where applicable and ensure charges go back to project team
l Ensure product cost is achieving commercial & business case expectations
l Identify to engineering opportunities to take cost out to the product
l Track tool costs & amortization
l Confirm with estimating the business case born can be supported with identified quotations & pricing agreements
l Liaise with commodity purchasing to obtain initial pricing based on known volume profile
Component selection/control
l Supply technology roadmaps to engineering
l Identify PPAP/AQPQ requirements & manage process with SDE
l Monitor APQP progress and regularly review with suppliers & SDE
l Confirm that parts selected are acceptable for automotive applications & are suitable for manufacturing processes
l Guide and influence engineering component selections to meet strategic supply list
l Confirm life cycle of parts
l Review with engineering design phases & component change requirements
l Liaise with commodity purchasing to ensure LOI/Purchase orders are issued in a timely manner
Reporting & General
l Submit and present reports on project status as and when requested by Product Purchasing manager
l Submit and present reports on project status to Executive Management as and when required
l Support the NPI team on other projects as and when requested
Location of the role
l Travel to TRW sites will be required-Asia Pacific & Global
l Travel to supplier sites will be required - Asia Pacific & Global
l This role is expected to be located at the relevant engineering center applicable to the portfolio

- A broad understanding of the product and the market cost drivers for such a portfolio

- Familiarity with Quality Management tools such as APQP, PPAP, Problem Analysis Tools, etc.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to express a subject clearly and understandable and to persuade others.

- Ability to adjust or adapt to changed situations, problems and tasks quickly

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Education & Work Experience

Education: Degree in Engineering/ Technology or Business Commercial subject.
Language: Fluency in the English language
Experience:
· Typically 1 year in a purchasing role or have related internship experience.
· Working in and preferable leading multi-functional project teams.
· Familiarity with industrial processes with an automotive background preferred.
