Part I: Objective of Job:
Automotive Color Materials & Craftsmanship Specialist: An experienced and well-rounded color and materials design specialist is required to interface with regional automotive suppliers to develop masters , expedite the color match to master and the interior craftsmanship process to assure that individual part appearance will coordinate harmoniously when all elements come together in the final product.

Part II: Qualifications:
Skills - General Skills
? Develop/Approve Interior color masters for all materials (Hard / Soft Trim)
? Develop/Approve Interior finish masters
? Product mastering for match to master:
? Interior Hard Trim: interior production grain and texture, interior match to master plastics,
? interior trim paint Interior Decorative Finishes: i.e. paint, in-mold film, hydrographic, aluminum litho, real wood, plating, etc.
? Soft Trim Materials: Carpet and floor mats, Body cloth Fabric, Headlining Fabric, Leather, Vinyl, etc.
? Support implementation of production grains through the pre and post grain part approval process.
? Must be capable of performing part mark-ups for texture orientation and wash-out areas to provide direction to Texture sources.
? Complete the Appearance Approval Report (AAR) approval process for all pre and post grain parts via PPAP submissions, considering aesthetic appearance quality and interior coordination/harmony requirements.
? Perform visual color and gloss assessments for all interior commodities for Appearance PPAP
? Participate in identification of Approved Suppliers for technologies
? Coordinate Program Roadmaps & handle Program management documents"
Functionality Skills and Technical skills
? A thorough knowledge of the following automotive materials, manufacturing processes and tooling:
plastic injection-molding, colorants, slush-molding, vacuum-forming, vinyl calendaring, and paint application methodology, leather, Fabric Mfg process.
? Excellent written and oral communication also a must, including English. "

? Good communication and presentation skills to articulate intentions and design reasoning to engineers or other designers
? Excellent organizational and time management skills with appropriate sense of urgency
? Ability to work in a team environment, build trust and relationships with suppliers & company staff"

Experience and education
? 4 years of automotive Color and Trim experience is required, either with an OEM or in the supply base, or a combination of the two.
? Graduate in Product design or Industrial design Preferred. Engineers with Suitable experience can also be considered. "

? Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environment
? Strong interpersonal and listening skills"
