Head of Product, Transaction Banking

Responsibilities:

The head of product, Transaction Banking, is responsible for both Cash Product and Trade Product team.

· Being expected to identify, develop and roll out new trade finance product program to facilitate trade sales in driving the revenue growth.

· Being responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of local cash products in China including delivery channels, receivables and payments and liquidity management

The job will require close interaction with both external and internal customers, managing a team of product managers and working closely with Group TB.

The key responsibilities:

· Responsible for all TB products' P&L.

· Develop business strategies and define development initiatives to position our products in China

· Develop standard product pricing policies

· Work with Group TB Product Management Team to enhance existing products or develop new products, based on customer needs, competitor benchmarking, and market research.

· Work closely with T&O to define product requirements and ensure the integrity of final delivered solutions, processes and documentation.

· Address day-to-day business process matters such as technical support, operational issues, client service support, legal documentation, etc.

· Ensure clear understanding of our product capabilities across various customer touch-points, including sales, relationship managers, implementation, etc. through proactive communications program, internal workshops, seminars, etc.

· Manage unit cost dynamics

· Support Sales calls and participate in response to RFPs from customers where required

· Prioritize, drive & execute product initiatives and one-off programs with stakeholders to promote adoption by customers

· Ensure that all product solutions are aligned with regulatory requirements

· Create product awareness and conduct training programs for sales and customer support

· Rollout product campaigns to drive revenue for different segments

· Write and maintain product approval programs and transaction memorandums for new products

· Complete any other ad-hoc activities as assigned by line manager

Requirements:

· Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in the field of trade finance/cash management.

· Strong trade finance/cash management technical and operational background with Financial Institutions

· Good understanding of local regulations, clearing systems, local cash products including payables, receivables, channel and liquidity management, and pricing structures/guidelines in China.

· Possess strong in-depth knowledge of trade/cash concepts, regulations and practices

· Motivated, driven and ambitious and looking for challenges

· All-round team player

· Strong analytical skills with an eye for details

· Good business, financial planning and analysis skills

· Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication skills

· Effectively negotiates with peers or superiors to achieve appropriate solutions

· Good understanding of bank operational processes

· Good business acumen and strong customer focus
