职位描述
The role:
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for software testing, developing test tools, analyzing test results and assisting with fixing software bugs.
Responsibilities:
- Understand required specifications for Actuate software, including the functional and design specifications.
- Create and implement test plans and test cases for Actuate software; automate test cases as required and generate test results.
- Test multiple projects simultaneously against tight deadlines.
- Responsible for quality system maintenance.
- Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
- Reproduce customers' issues in order to analyze the problem at deeper level and understand the root causes.
- Create and maintain quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
- Work continuously on improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Programming experience with Java and good understanding of SQL
- Experience with Windows, Linux and Virtual Machines
- Good knowledge of HTML and XML
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable with English as a working language
- Passion for quality assurance of end-user applications
- Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person
- Familiar with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution
- Working knowledge of the following quality assurance methods: acceptance, integration, regression, compatibility, accessibility test.
- Experience with popular test tools such as Selenium, Jubula a plus
- Experience with ant scripts a plus
- Experience with kinds of databases: DB2, Oracle, SQLServer, MySql, Sybase a plus
