JOB DESCRIPTION
Walt Disney Imagineering is seeking an Information Safeguarding Specialist to protect Disney intellectual property throughout the design and production flow. This position is responsible for supporting Information Safeguarding initiatives through close collaboration with Imagineering personnel and segment IT personnel to identify critical information assets, key risk areas, facilitate understanding of Information Safeguarding strategies/policies, assist in maintaining the confidentiality of creative and design information, support implementation of controls, conduct assessments of third parties to measure their capability to effectively handle confidential information, measure the effectiveness of components of the Information Security Program and communicate security risks to business leaders to ensure a clear understanding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and gather information from business segment to identify the most sensitive information elements critical to business unit success.
Develops processes/tools for identifying threats and vulnerabilities to the critical information identified by the business unit and reporting on the overall effectiveness of the safeguarding program in coordination with business segment leadership.
Conduct information safeguarding assessments; identifies, evaluates, documents and reports findings/issues as necessary to the business segment leaders and Manger of Information Safeguarding. Recommend risk mitigation, new or revised control measures, and avoidance actions.
Maintain liaison with IT security staff and internal/external partners to ensure coordination and enforcement of the overall Information Security Program within the business segment.
Assist business unit leaders in implementing appropriate Information Security standards to support the overall information security program strategy and policies.
Apply current knowledge of technology trends and systems processes to identify security and risk management issues and opportunities for improvement
Provide comprehensive and accurate reports to assess, document, and communicate results of assessments
Act as Information Security subject matter expert to vendors and in-house personnel
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a high degree of sound, independent judgment and capability.
Position requires functional knowledge of the information threats faced by a multinational entertainment company operating globally.
Possesses functional knowledge of physical and information security risks.
Possess risk analysis knowledge and ability to identify risks that impact information assets.
Broad technology expertise with application, system integration, data, and/or infrastructure knowledge
Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and listening skills
Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills
Strong negotiation skills
Demonstrated skills to influence senior management.
3-5 years of combined experience in information security preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Engineering, or a related field
