Summary
Responsible for leading all research related activities at Wildfire, including data management, analysis, and report preparation both for Social Marketing programs and Social Media Research.
Also responsible for supporting Marketing with ad-hoc research projects for content and knowledge marketing activities(for example, white papers and info-graphics).
The individual must be knowledgeable in prevailing quantitative consumer and market research practices, marketing impact measurement, and must have the initiative to adapt these methods to the Wildfire's social marketing model.
Primary Responsibilities
1.Social Marketing Impact Measurement
a. Design of surveys for influencer recruitment, screening, performance measurement, and insights.
b. Management of social media program impact models and ROI measurement, including research design, analytics, and reporting.
c. Management of qualitative insight generation from consumer conversation reports, including analysis and report preparation.
d. Attendance of sales and client service meetings and presentation of research data.
e. Management of client's third parties involved in program measurement.
2.Social Media Research Analysis and Reporting
a. Ensure delivery of insightful and accurate social media monitoring reports for Wildfire clients.
b. Management of social media monitoring reporting process.
c. Preparation and processing of social media monitoring data, including manual tagging and sorting when required.
d. Close cooperation with technology team to ensure efficient data export process needed for report preparation.
e. Attendance of sales and client service meetings and presentation of research data.
f. Management of third party data providers.
3.Support Content and Knowledge Marketing
a. Support Marketing team with Wildfire's knowledge generation and thought leadership activities.
b. Execution of research for industry white papers and info-graphics.
c. Working with external research partners in government and academic institutions to support the above.
4.Community Database Management
Design of community databases and data management systems for community management.
5.Process Refinement
Work with client service and community teams to improve research processes and overall operations efficiency.
Client meetings, 90% in Shanghai. Occasional travel to Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Background & Experience
Research Agency
Required:At least 5 years in quanti & quali research experience. (having quali experience is a plus)
Preferred:Research agency side with experience managing projects for multi-national FMCG companies.
Entrepreneurship / Start-up
Preferred: Prior experience with an early-stage company that sold research, advertising, or media services.
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree
Languages Required:Fluent in Chinese (spoken and written), proficient in English
Other Required:Proactive, entrepreneurial attitude. Ability to effectively mentor and train subordinates.
Measurement of Success
1. Provides strategic leadership of research function relating to operations support as well as knowledge generation
2. Delivery of research project components to deadline
3. Regular delivery of research white papers
4. Contribution to process documentation, refinement, and scalability of operations
